HEMI mean Hemispherical Combustion Engine.

Since  the early 1900’s, these hemispherical engines have been pushing the car industry ahead. The HEMI engine has without a doubt served it’s purpose in the car industry since it’s inception till today

It’s is certainly above than any flathead engine  and it helped the ‘51 Chrysler to push out way more horsepower because of the layout and  reserve from the combustion chamber.

The Valves in the engine face the opposite side of the sides of the combustion chamber and the spark plug in the HEMI engine makes a spark of electricity sits right above the chamber.

The HEMI engine is popular due to its design because it;s able to fit more valves and get better airflow, which helps with the heat and pressure allows enthusiast to add much more horse power to these engines.

The spark plug layout also allows for much better gas  burning which makes the car run more efficiently saving lots of much needed money on fuel costs.
